Ethiopian Airlines started flights to Rwanda, in april 1975, with a B727. Today, Ethiopian Airlines flies twice a day to Kigali and its cargo branch operates a twice weekly service from Liege (Belgium) and Addis Ababa (Ethiopia). All Ethiopian Airlines flights to and from Rwanda are in Terminal 1.

According to Amadeus, from 01NOV2011 Ethiopian Airlines will serve Kigali two times a day. The overnight flight becomes a daily service.

More Ethiopian Airlines cargo flights to Rwanda ?

According to Flightstats, Ethiopian Airlines Cargo operates two weekly flights to Rwanda, instead of one weekly flight. Flights from Adis Ababa are operated via Entebbe on Sundays, on the oneway flight and to Bujumbura on Tuesdays, also on the oneway flight.

Return flights are non stop to Addis Abeba. On Ethiopian Airlines Cargo website, flights are still operated one a week and on Mondays. The summer season in Aviation industry will be terminarted, during the week end of 29-31 October 2011. Maybe more informations will be gave

Ethiopian Airlines night flights program to Rwanda, Winter 2012 :

According to Amadeus, Ethiopian Airlines will operate its night flight to Rwanda, via Entebbe, from 31/10/2011. Ethiopian has traffic rights between Kigali and Entebbe, it means that the airline can sell tickets between the two cities.

Ethiopian Airlines transfers all its Rwandans Flights from T2 to T1 :

January 14th 2011

Toupgrade the passenger services, Ethiopian Airlines has decided to move all its East African flights from T 2 to the T 1. Kigali is one of Ethiopian Airlines East African destination, served by 12 weekly flights.

Ethiopian Airlines adds 5 weekly flights to Rwanda :

June 6th 2010

Ethiopian Airlines has added a second daily flight to Kigali, which is operated by B737-700s. Flight takes off from Addis at 9.40 p.m and arrives at Kigali at 0.10. The fligt back leaves Kigali at 3.20 a.m and arrives at Addis at 7.50 a.m.

Moreover, Ethiopian Airlines has introduced its news Dash Q400s on Kigali route. Flights are operated four times a week.
