Bugesera Airport [NBIA] project may see life with new investor

After month of silence, the Governement of Rwanda announced last week, that they have reponed talks with potential investors , about the Bugusera Airport. In 2013, the government failed to get a serious investor following the collapse of negotiations with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC).
Rwanda Newspaper, Rwanda Today reports that :
"although nothing has been signed yet, the unnamed investor seems serious, which has perhaps prompted the government to take the project off the table of projects that have failed to attract investor interest".
Rwanda Development Board has declined to reveal the investor, preferring to do so after the deal is concluded. However Yvette Umutoni, acting head of investment promotion and facilitation at RDB, said talks are at an advanced stage and a deal is likely to be struck soon.
The project stalled for a long time, mainly due to a lack of fund, from investors. In 2013, Rwanda hired Lufthansa Consulting to make another feasibility study.
In the past, Rwanda had several talks with investors, such as Aéroports de Lyon, TAV Airports, China State Construction Engineering Corporation, but they have failed. Aeroports de Lyon CEO said in 2013, that the current project is too big for the Rwandan Market with a weak returns on investments (HERE).
