Rwanda Airports Major Expansion
Since about 7 years, air trafic dramatically grown in Rwanda, in order to meet the demand, the Governement of Rwanda has decided to upgrade its 3 mains airports. It includes terminal and runway expansions and new security, navigation and meteorological systems.
Kigali Kanombe International Airport (100% completed) :
Opening of a Transit Hall
Adding of escalators for disabled people
Check in Desk will be added from 9 to 18
A new conveyor belt will be added (3 in total)
A new car parking will be opened [August 2013 : completed]
Kamembe International Airport [closed from November 1 2014 to March 31 2015] :

The new departure lounge, from outside. When the expansion will be finished, the airport will able to handle 1, 5 millions of passengers per year, instead of 500 000 today (the airport can currently handle 300 000 passengers)
