RwandAir operates a special flight to Port Au Prince (Haiti)

A RwandAir's B737-800 left Kigali yesterday at 10.00 p.m en route to the Hatian's capital, Port Au Prince. 160 police officers were on board, they will replace the first contingent of another 160 officers deployed in Haiti nine months ago, whose mission has ended.
The Rwandan Police serves under the United Nations Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (MINUSTAH). The 737-800 is scheduled to arrive on December 31, in Rwanda.
Since the 2010 Earthquake, Rwanda and Haiti improved ties. Rwanda has donated US$ 100 000 to help Haiti, and Rwanda and Haiti have signed some educations pacts, via the the Haiti-Rwandan Commission.
