 What is it ? 

•  

  Develop the country wide Religious Tourism strategy at par with other international religious tourism destinations. Second, to coach/groom the Rwandan Team (to be determined) in the development of the pilot circuit which will serve as the baseline for Religious Tourism development in Rwanda to allow for a smooth continuity for the next development as it will be recommended by the strategy.

   

In its strategy of diversifying tourism products, the Government of Rwanda through its agency Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has developed a ten year sustainable tourism master plan for the entire country focusing on the development of the identified tourism destination management areas. In the master plan, Religious tourism was identified among others as having potential to attract pilgrimage tourists and therefore increase tourism revenues.
