According to Amadeus (05 FEB 2015), RwandAir will start a three weekly service Kigali-Lusaka-Johannesburg, from 27 March 2015.

According to a statement, RwandAir plans to start a 3 weekly service to Lusaka, from 29 March 2015. Routing, will be Kigali Lusaka Johannesburg.

According to a RwandAir advertising published on the RwandAir's facebook page, the airline plans to add two more destinations, in the coming month. The future route will be probably Kigali-Lusaka-Cape Town, with traffic rights between Kigali and Lusaka and Lusaka Cape Town.
No informations about a date, but last month RwandAir announced that, two new destinations will be added to its network, in November 2012. The date perfects match with the arrival of the CRJ-900NG, that will be used on the regional destinations, enabling to RwandAir to fly its B737 fleet to Lusaka and Cape Town.
Lusaka is the capital of Zambia and the airport is served by major airlines such as KLM, Emirates, British Airways, South African Airways, Kenya Airways or Ethiopian Airlines. Zambia is one Africa's emerging market. RwandAir planned to serve Lusaka, since 2009.
Cape Town is the second largest city in South Africa, its airport is the second hub of South Africa. It's linked by several major airlines to Asia (with Emirates, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines), to Europe (Air France, KLM, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and British Airways) and to Africa (South African Airways, Air Mauritius, Air Botswana, Air Namibia and TAAG Angola Airlines).
