RwandAir secures a new loan from PTA Bank for a new plane

According to Bloomberg, RwandAir has secured a $60 millions loan from the The Eastern and Southern Trade Development Bank, a Burundi-based lender known as PTA Bank. According to James Kabuga, the PTA Bank's director, "with this new loan, RwandAir will able to buy a new plane from the Boeing Company". PTA Bank and RwandAir started partenership in 2009, enabling to RwandAir to buy its own aircraft (2 CRJ-200s and 2 B737-800s).
PTA Bank’s current shareholders are: The African Development Bank, Burundi, China, Comoros, Democratic Republic of China, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
