Rwandans attended at a Aircraft Accident Investigation Techniques Course conducted by the Singapore Aviation Academy

SAA conducted the Aircraft Accident Investigation Techniques Course at the East African School of Aviation (EASA), Nairobi, Kenya from 13 to 17 January 2014. A total of 28 participants from Kenya and Rwanda have attended the on-site training programme. Col(rtd) Hilary K Kioko, Director-General, KCAA delivered the course’s opening remarks.
Over the 5-day course, participants acquired knowledge relating to aircraft accident investigation techniques and management issues, through lectures, case studies and practical sessions conducted by Mr Caj Frostell, Former Chief, Accident Investigation & Prevention Section, ICAO, Mr Dennis Jones, Senior Air Safety Investigator, National Transportation Safety Board, US and Senior Investigators from Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) of Singapore, Mr Michael Toft and Mr David Lim.
This is the second on-site training conducted under the framework of the MOU between CAAS and Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).
