Here are some data about traffic between European Union and Kigali, for 2014 Q1.

The gap between KLM and Brussels Airlines is growing. KLM has a bigger fleet and network than Brussels Airlines. Furthermore, KLM serves Kigali everyday, while Brussels Airlines operates 5 flights a week.
Despite the arrival of Turkish Airlines and Qatar Airways in 2012, KLM records a big increase on its Kigali Amsterdam route, while Brussels Airlines is struggling to attract more passengers.
Since this year, Brussels Airlines provides connections on RwandAir flights to Kamembe, with the aim to attract passengers flying to East of DRC. Kamembe close to Bukavu City, the capital of South Kivu.

For the 4th year in row, the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) has published its Statistical YearBook. This edition shows data for 13 fields, including Air Transport.

For 2013 :
New Airlines & Destinations :
Turkish Cargo started a weekly service in June 2013, suspended in September 2013
Others Majors Events :
RwandAir started new routes Ghana and South Sudan and takes delivery of 2 B737-700s replacing two B737-500s. However, the airline suspended service to Mwanza and Gisenyi.
Turkish Airlines and KLM are now provided daily service to Rwanda instead of 5 flights a week.
South African Airways suspended its service to Kigali in december 2013.
For 2014 :
New Airlines & Destinations :
RwandAir plans to add service to Mumbai, Abuja and Abidjan. This year, the airline opened its service to Douala and taken delivery of Q40NG replacing the old Dash 200.
Others Majors Events :
Works at Kigali, Kamembe and Gisenyi should be completed.
KLM will add more seat capacity to Kigali, with the introduction of the A330-300 (292 seats) replacing the A330-200 (243 seats), 3 times week via Kilimanjaro. The airline keep its daily service, others flights are operated via Entebbe
Brussels Airlines will now fly 5 times a week to Kigali, year around while Kenya Airways will fly between 4 and 5 times a day, instead of 3 times a day.
