RwandAir Eyes Pilots

First stop, Goose Bay Air Force base, in Newfoundland and Labrador, in Canada.

This Air Force base is often used by Bombardier Aircraft to refuel, before to cross the Atlantic Ocean.

As the Q400NG doesn't have a big range to fly directly to Rwanda, it needs to make some stops.

In the footsteps of Charles Augustus Lindbergh, the first aviator who crossed the Atlantic Ocean, in 1927.

It took off from New York and landed at Paris Le Bourget, 27 hours later.

Today the airways over Greenland are the most borrowed, in the world.

The second stop of the delivery flight is Reykjavik the capital of Iceland. It will be a night stop.

Note that, Reykjavik has two airports: Keflavik and Reykjavik.

 The first one is used by Icelandair and others international airlines who serve Iceland. The second one is smallest, and it is used mainly for domestic flights.

It's a "love story" between RwandAir and Hanover. In 2013, RwandAir took delivery of its B737-700s at Hanover.

 First pictures of the second RwandAir Q400NG

The delivery of the second Bombarbier is near. The aircraft will leave Canada, the next week. Its routing will be, Canada - Keflavík- Hanover- Heraklion- Khartoum- Kigali.  The made another test flight today, with both Bombarbier and RwandAir pilots. It will be registred 9XR-WM (previously planned, for the Dreamliner, see google)
