The RwandAir CEO announced today, that the airline has ordered two more Boeing 737-800NGs, directly from Boeing. The two aircraft will be delivered in 2016.
With the arrival of the A330s, the fleet will be composed of 12 aircraft, instead of 8 currently.
With the new Boeing 737-800s, RwandAir will able to add more destinations, such as Abidjan, Harare, Luanda or Khartoum.
The current fleet is too small, to enable to RwandAir to serve new destinations, while the airline needs to open more destinations in Africa to feed its hub, as the airline will start long haul flights, in 2016.
